AcaiPure/Colon cleanse Scam… what should be done?!?
Acai Burn and Colon Cleanse are products being sold online, using popular shows like Operah to get people to trust them. In reality it is a total scam!! If you give them your credit card number to buy theyr free trial, they will charge huge amounts to you card over and over again and it will be practically impossible to contact them and get any kind of refund! It is advertised EVERYWHERE… on facebook, on hotmail… it is spreading like a disease!
I admit I was scammed, and so I cancelled my credit card right away as I found out. If you were scammed by this company or have been victim of an online scam before, give us your advise on how to prevent such mistakes and how to get out of it once it is too late!!!
First of all, report their fraudulent actions to your local Better Business Bureau so others can be forewarned to stay away from these companies. The BBB can also be a good source to check with BEFORE you order anything online again.
Also, contact the Oprah show and let them know what happened to you. Oprah needs to pull those ads ASAP.
Additionally, you may be able to file criminal charges against the company(s). Contact your local police to get started.
Finally, the best way to prevent this from happening again is to always remember “Buyer Beware” — if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Do your research in advance, check out the company with BBB, and post a question at Yahoo! Answers to see if anyone knows anything about a company you are interested in doing business with BEFORE you order anything.
